@DJ-B-Boy: I never used any EQ on this set. Just mixed everything in time with only the faders. It was challenging to mix with the self imposed limitation. But it forces you to focus on specific aspects of your ability. The result like you said is a very clean and well phrased mix. It grabs more attention from the crowd if your next track drops more clearly instead of the mix that goes unnoticed.

Definitely my kind of Dance Mix! Nice tune selection in key or not.:) Like the way you finished it off with a thumpin' track..no vocals just pounding bass. Somethimes You just gotta play it loud.

@DJ EyeGore:

I gave your 'Sun is up' mix a listen.Your transitions aren't bad. Just try to put emphases on how your next song comes in. So make sure that you give the next song a tiny bit more volume. Listen to the last minute of the outgoing song as well as the first minute of your next song. Mix a whole set without using any EQ. Only your faders. This will drasticly improve the way in which you decide on your cues. Sometimes a 15 second mix can have a much bigger effect than a 1min mix. Avoid mixing in key. Its fine every now and then but not to much. And every now and then remind the people that you are in control of the music. Almost like a f-u thought through your mixing. Many times its good to do something intentionally like dropping a mix hard or using a drum roll to introduce the new song instead of letting the outgoing song finish. Program your sets! A mix must either maintain the same energy level, start low and build up, start high and break down gradually or start low, then peak, then break down. That's how u should program for good results. Know your songs. Know how they introduce themselves and how they end. Don't always be hasty to mix. If the song is popular and its working on the dancefloor and people are flocking to the dancefloor, then play the song longer. Many times the crowd will want to hear the whole song. People often get frustrated with DJs if they shorten a popular song. And always act calm and casual. While mixing, the majority of the time you must be looking at the dancefloor or talk to someone next to you. Don't look at your discs to much and don't look at the decks too long. U can still mix without looking and even talk to someone during a mix if you know your cues. This is hard in the beginning but will become easier with time.

All that I've said here is based on my own opinion and experience. By no means is this the standard. Its just a few pointers from my side. I hope this helps.
